Assigning a Business Partner to a Profile 

Use

To select business partners for a given marketing campaign, a marketing department may wish to assign business partners to a given marketing profile.

Prerequisites

You have created profile templates. For more information, see Creating a Profile Template.

Procedure

  1. Choose Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Segmentation of Business Partners ® Profiles ® Assign Business Partners to Profiles.

Result

Assign a business partner to an existing profile
  1. Enter the name of the business partner.
  2. Enter the profile and choose Create assignment.

The system displays a dialog box asking you to confirm that you wish to assign this business partner to the profile displayed.

Assign a business partner to a new profile (i.e. create a profile for a business partner).
  1. Enter the name of the business partner.
  2. Enter a profile template and choose Create assignment.

    3. The system displays the Create Profile screen.

  3. Enter the relevant value(s) for the attribute(s) displayed and choose Save.

The system confirms that the business partner has been assigned to the profile.

Delete an assignment to a profile
  1. Enter the name of the business partner.
  2. Enter the name of the relevant profile template.

The business partner is no longer assigned to the profile.

 

Result

You have assigned a business partner to a marketing profile.
