BW Objects that cannot be used in MOLAP Cubes.
Often Microsoft does not support the extremely dynamic connections that are required for time dependencies when executing a query for particular BW objects (such as BW hierarchies or the corresponding parent-child dimensions).
It is sometimes possible to model a BW InfoCube on a MOLAP Cube, even though it is subject to some of the restrictions. This is especially the case when time-dependent and versioned BW hierarchies are involved. Make sure these hierarchies are not modeled in the MOLAP Cube.
When a query is executed in this kind of MOLAP Cube, BW’s own hierarchy treatment is applied. In this case, hierarchy conditions within the BW system are triggered and not those within the MOLAP store.
In the Multidimensional Cube dialog box in InfoCube maintenance, there is a check that ascertains whether or not the BW InfoCube in question can be modeled in a MOLAP Cube. You can find additional information under Create MOLAP Cube.
