Folder Hierarchies in Roles and Worksets 
Definition
You create roles and worksets by setting up folder hierarchies. The Role Editor has a special function for setting up these hierarchies (New Folder in the edit area).
You also need folders to define entry points within top-level navigation. Read also
Defining Top-Level Navigation and Entry Points.In contrast to a workset, a folder in a role is one that only belongs to this role and is set up within the role. Unlike this, a workset is a separate PCD object in the form of a re-usable role component that can be added to one or more roles.
