Worksets let you bundle services and pages in folder hierarchies, like for roles. In contrast to roles, they are generic, re-usable structures or modules that you can add to roles.

SAP Portals delivers worksets which you can use to set up roles for your Enterprise Portal.

A workset alone cannot define a portal from the user point of view. A workset that is to be added to a Portal therefore is always part of a role. By setting up a role or a number of roles from a multiple worksets, you define the appearance of the Enterprise Portal for your users.
