Activating Data Transfers for BW Statistics  

Use

For each InfoCube, for each area in OLAP and for each area in warehouse management, you can activate and de-activate data that has been saved and transferred individually. This reduces the time it takes to transfer and save data in the BW statistics, even in large installations.

Procedure

  1. You are in the Modeling or Monitoring functional area of the Administrator Workbench.
  2. Choose Tools -> BW Statistics for InfoCubes The BW Statistics: Entry Mode dialog box appears.
  3. Set the indicator in the corresponding area for the InfoCube(s) for which you want to run the BW statistics:

Remove any indicators that are already set for InfoCubes, for which you do not want to run BW statistics.

  1. The Save function permanently stores any new entries that you make.
  1. You use the Delete Data function to remove tables any BW statistics data that you no longer need from the database. The BW Statistics: Data in Tables dialog box appears. Choose the time-interval (date and time) for which you want to delete the data. Choose Delete Data.

By deleting old BW statistics data, you save space in the data base and speed up the data extraction process.

  1. Choose Next.
