Deleting Selectively

Use

Deleting selectively is recommended if only individual data records are no longer required and need to be deleted from the ODS object. For example, you want to only delete data from a time period that is no longer used. Thus, only data from the active table is deleted, and the change log data remains.

The data is only deleted from the active data table. Data in the activation queue and in the change log remain unchanged. Therefore, we only recommend using this function if no other data targets are connected yet. Otherwise, other connected data targets would have to be adjusted manually. You can then implement your services with a selective, full update.

For update methods, see also Updating ODS Objects.

Procedure

  1. Choose the pushbutton Selective.
  2. Specify the fields to be deleted under Delete Selections in the subsequent dialog window.
  3. Schedule the delete job.

If you deleted the data that you still need, you can post the data again by using a repair request. You can find further information about the repair request under Tab Page: Update Parameters.
