Certain InfoObjects have standardized, default characteristic values (for example, ISO codes for country and language) or company-wide standard characteristic values (for example, region, industry sector). These standardized characteristic value have to be transferred into the global attributes of the consolidated InfoObjects for business partner, product and product category.

The InfoObject 0GN_IOBJVAL (characteristic value of the standardized InfoObject) is used as a target value (= standardized characteristic value) when converting values to standardized characteristic values (see also DataSource Field Conversion -> InfoObject.
