Version-independent key of eCl@ss 

Technical Name: 0ECLASS_ID

Use

The eCl@ss is being constantly developed and new versions will be brought out. A material group can only be identified uniquely via the version-independent key of the eCl@ss. The current eCl@ss and version is saved as attribute for each key. All reporting has to occur via the navigation attributes of 0ECLASS_ID.

From SAP BW Release 3.0B, the procedure for loading data (master data and texts) has been changed to InfoSources with flexible update (see also Flexible Update for Central Master Data Objects).

The InfoSource with flexible update 0ECLASS_ATTR_TEXT eCl@ss attributes and texts belongs to InfoObject 0ECLASS_ID version-independent key of eCl@ss. This InfoSource is in the application component 0BBP-IO Master Data e-Procurement.
