Adding and Changing Worksets in a Role

Use

You can insert a workset in a role and change it within the role. This change is only valid for a workset in a specific role. It has no central effect. This means:

If the workset has also been added to other roles, they will not be affected by the change.
The original workset that was added to the role (the central workset) is not affected.

If, however, you change a workset centrally, this will affect all the roles to which this workset was added. Read also Creating, Modifying and Copying Worksets.

If you are importing worksets delivered from SAP Portals into the Enterprise Portal and then making changes, only make these changes within roles. Never make central changes to a workset in the SAP Portals' namespace If you do so, all changes will be lost the next time that you import the workset. Prerequisites

You have created a workset and added it to a role.

Procedure

You can now change the workset in your role by:

Creating new folders
Deleting entries
Adding services
Adding master iViews
Adding pages

Always use this method for worksets delivered by SAP Portals.
