Using the Delivered Java iView for Detailed Navigation 

Use

You need not create your own Java iView for detailed navigation. You can use the special Java iView contained for detailed navigation in the standard delivery.

Prerequisites

Install the initial content for the Enterprise Portal. You can also find the files containing the default iView for detailed navigation here. Copy these files to the import directory on the Servlet Engine.

Activities

  1. In the administrator role, select iViews and import the Java iView for detailed navigation. You can find out how to import Java iViews in the Administration Guide under iViews ® Java iViews ® Importing Java iViews.
  2. Look for the special Java iView in the channel list under Default iViews. The name of the iView is Detailed Navigation (unique name: com.sapportals.portal.clientsidedetailnav).
  3. Assign this Java iView to a page. Read also Assigning Java iViews to a Page.
