SAP Web Application Server (SAP Web AS) is a platform for efficient development and allows you to implement Web applications. It builds upon proven and stable application server technology and Internet-based infrastructure from SAP.
SAP Web Application Server combines reliability, scalability, multi-language support, remote debugging, and connection to the Change and Transport System with open Internet standards such as HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, WebDav, HTML, XML and server-side scripting.

To faciliatate the development of Web applications, the SAP Web application server uses a page-based programming model with server-side scripting as well as server page technology. The result is a powerful but easy-to-learn programming model that supports the developer in the design and implementation of Web applications. In SAP Web Application Server, the presentation is separate from the business logic. This makes it possible to implement front-end technology.
