Certain InfoObjects have standardized, default characteristic values (for example, ISO codes for country and language) or company-wide standard characteristic values (for example, region, industry sector). These standardized characteristic values have to be transferred into the global attributes of consolidated InfoObjects for business partner, product and product category.

The InfoObject 0GN_IOBLNM (standardized InfoObject) is used to convert characteristic values into standardized characteristic values (see also Conversion of DataSource Field into InfoObject). It gives a description of the InfoObject (for example, country, object, region) that contains the standardized characteristic values.
