Certain InfoObjects have standardized, default characteristic values (for example, ISO codes for country and language) or company-wide standard characteristic values (for example, region, industry sector). These standardized characteristic value have to be transferred into the global attributes of consolidated InfoObjects for business partner, product and product category.

The InfoObject 0GN_SOURVAL (characteristic value in the source system) is used as a source value (= characteristic value in the source system) when converting values to standardized characteristic values (see also DataSource Field Conversion -> InfoObject.
