Using Documents in Web Applications 
Use
You can comment and enhance the structured business data that you provide for example in a table with unstructured information such as texts, diagrams and graphics with the Web items Single document and List of documents.
From the context menu, using the Goto function, you can access the existing documents for InfoProvider data, master data and metaobjects.
You can display document links for the content of a cell.
Prerequisites
Individual Document
and List of Documents Web items:You created
documents in the Administrator Workbench or in the master data maintenance screen and inserted the Web item single document or list of documents in the Web template when you published the Web application in the BEx Web Application Designer.

Single Document
For example you can add several documents such as route directions and a picture of the local office for each value of a characteristic, such as Business partner. Depending on what setting you made for the Document Display Type (IS_INPLACE) attribute in the Web Application Designer, the document is displayed either in the Web application ("X") or in its own window (" "). If the IS_INSPACE attribute = ‘ ‘, the system displays a link to the document text, using which you can reach the document in your own browser window.
List of Documents
The List of Documents allows you to call up or create context sensitive information for the InfoProvider data used in the Web browser.

Click on the Additional Functions button to call up a context menu with the following functions:
Set whether document properties are to be displayed or not. Depending on how you have set the Display Properties (SHOW_PROPERTIES) attribute in the Web Application Designer, the system displays the properties for the documents or not. You can change the initial setting here.
This function is made available by activating the enhanced menu. Choosing All Selections displays all characteristics, for which you can restrict the list of documents or a new document, are displayed in context.
Choose Bookmark if you want to call up a particular navigation status in the Web Application with the Documents List Web item. The system creates a URL that can be bookmarked, which is displayed in the address line of your Web browser.
To access the bookmark again later, you can save the URL in your favorites or copy and paste it into other files.

You can use the Goto function to display documents for different objects that were created in the Administrator Workbench, in the master data maintenance, or in the Web application, and then create new documents.

The system displays the
symbol in the respective cell, .when documents exist for the content of a cell, and the Display Document Links function is activated in the query properties. This allows you to immediately see when a document exists for this cell. Click on
. The document is displayed in its own browser window.
The document links can be contained in the Table, Navigation Block and Text Elements Web items.
