With the HTML-based BW Metadata Repository, you can access the information on BW Metadata as well as the most important properties of the objects and the links to other objects. You can search and exchange Metadata, export HTML pages and display the graphics of the objects.

In the Metadata Repository, you can display active objects in the system (Activated Objects) and objects delivered by SAP (Business Content). The object types available in the respective systems are presented in the right-hand window. Hyperlinks on the object types bring you to a list of all objects for that object type. From this object list you can navigate directly to the individual object information.

Use the pushbuttons Previous Page and Next Page in the function toolbar to navigate in the Metadata repository. The pushbutton Main Page brings you back to the initial page whenever you want.

This searches for the technical name, the short and long texts and the delivered SAP documentation of the objects in the Metadata Repository.

You can export Metadata to another system, import it from another system, or interchange it between two systems. When you exchange data, general information and dependences are integrated for display.

Active objects can be exported as HTML pages, as can SAP delivered objects.

Metadata can be displayed by XML-based vector graphics formats for documents and the Internet as VML graphics and SVG graphics.
