You can make all objects in the Role Editor (roles, worksets, pages, external services, and master iViews) invisible in the display area of the Role Editor.

This can be used to:

• Hide components and services that can not be started alone.
• Prevent other users from using Role Editor functions that they are not supposed to use.

If you add the suffix __invisible (double underscore followed by 'invisible') to the technical name of a PCD object that you are creating or changing, these objects are now invisible in the display area.

You can use the Role Editor's personalization functions to determine that invisible objects should now become visible in the display area. Proceed as follows:

1. Call up the Role Editor's personalization functions from the Personalize Page.
2. Set the value for Invisible objects are displayed in Catalog to true. If you want to restore the default setting, set the value to false again.
