Setting Up Variable Currency Translation 

Procedure

To define the currency translation in the query with a variable, first maintain the characteristics parameter variable in the Administrator Workbench.

  1. Choose in the SAP Menu ® Business Explorer ® Maintain Variable.
  2. Choose Change <-> Display and then New Entries.
  3. Specify Characteristic value as the Variable type, enter a Variable name, a Short description and a Long text.
  4. For Processing by select Manual entry/Default value.
  5. Choose Enter. You can now record further detailed information.
  6. Choose the characteristic 0CURRENCY.
  7. Save your entries. A variable has been created manually for the characteristic 0CURRENCY.

In the query definition:

Choose Properties from the context menu of your key figure. There, choose your variable under Currency translation type and select Variable Entry

Executing the query:

The system reads the variable for the target currency.
