You use the function Change Query View on the BEx toolbar if;
Changing a Query (Local View)
The drilldown status of the query is displayed in the form of three directory trees: one tree shows the free characteristics, the trees "rows" and "columns" show the characteristics and key figures, which are arranged along the rows and columns axis. Characteristics that are displayed in the "rows tree" or the "columns tree" are drilled down upon. The tree "free characteristics" contains all characteristics that are not currently drilled down upon.
The characteristics and key figures are displayed in the rows and columns in the sequence in which they appear in the query. You can determine the position and sequence of the characteristics and key figures in the rows axis and columns axis of the query using drag and drop. You can also establish which characteristics you want to drill down on, free or filtered. The key figures can be hidden or shown. If the key figures are shown then they are available in the query. You can display and change the properties of the characteristics. You change characteristic properties (for example, results display, attributes display, presentation hierarchy) by choosing a characteristic and selecting Properties from the context menu.
In the lower right-hand area you will see a preview of the table for the results area that shows how you change the view of the data via your navigational steps.
If you want to change not just your view of the data but also the selection of key figures and characteristics for the query, then you need to change the query definition. To do this, select Enhanced C
hange on the toolbar of the dialog box. This brings you to the Change Query dialog box. See also: Displaying and Changing the Query Definition.
