After inserting a query into a workbook, the distribution of the characteristics and key figures or structures in the rows and columns from the query definition is shown in the first view.

With the help of navigation functions (such as the expansion of a hierarchy, filtering of a characteristic to a characteristic value) you can change the query and thereby generate further views of the InfoCube data. The BEx Analyzer functions you need to do this are in the toolbar and in the context menu of the filter and results area cells.
