Determining Path and ITS Settings

Use

Before you are able to work with the Web Publisher and the Web Publisher Wizard, you have to specify the required paths. You are reminded to do this, right at the beginning, in the Options field in the Web Publisher Wizard. In the Web Publisher, the dialog is under Options in the menus toolbar of the Web Publisher.

You have to determine the settings for the path and the ITS once only.

Procedure

Choose Options.

In the Path tabstrip, use the pushbutton with the 3 dots next to the entry field, to specify the required path.

Path for HTML Browser
Path to the pages in editing: Directory in which the HTML pages are stored locally on your PC.
Path for HTML editor
Path for the stylesheet for the HTML page

Check that the Save settings in the registry function is active.

If this option has been deactivated, you have to redetermine the settings for the path and the ITS, if you want to call the Web Publisher again, and create a Web report.

Choose the ITS Settings tabstrip, and make the settings you require.

ITS Settings

Setting	Meaning
Template Storage	BW Server: The Web templates are stored on the BW server. ITS Server: The Web templates are stored on an ITS server. You have to type in the ITS data in the ITS Settings field.
ITS Settings	Select the default ITS for the BW system, if you want to save the Web templates to a default ITS server. To register the ITS server as the default ITS server, goto SAP Reference IMG ® Business Information Warehouse ® Settings relevant for reporting ® Web Reporting ® Specifying a server If you want to store the Web templates on a different ITS server, choose customized, and make the following settings: Web protocol ITS Name Port Path to Web Server Gateway (Wgate) Service

Choose OK.
