Setting Up Variable Currency Translation 

Procedure

To define the currency translation in the query with a variable, first maintain the characteristics parameter variable in the Administrator Workbench.

  1. Choose in the SAP Menu ® Business Explorer ® Maintain Variable.
  2. Choose Change <-> Display and then New Entries.
  3. Specify characteristic value as the variable type, specify a variable name, a short description and a long text and for processing by choose manual entry/default value.
  4. Choose Enter. You can now record further detailed information. Choose the characteristic 0CURRENCY.
  5. Save your entries. A variable has been created manually for the characteristic 0CURRENCY.

In the query definition:

Choose Properties from the context menu of your key figure. There, choose your variable under Currency translation type and select Variable Entry.

Executing the query:

The system reads the variable for the target currency.
