Contains the Business Objects Posting Notificationand Posting Notification Rule for Account Management (FS-AM).
A posting notification is generated on an account when specific postings are made (items or prenotes) or when an account reaches a specific balance, and can be created as additional correspondence in the form of a text message, an e-mail, or an event-controlled bank statement.
A posting notification rule controls the criteria for the creation of posting notifications for an account. The posting notification rule contains details about the validity period and the amount of the corresponding posting.
You can create, edit, and display posting notification rules for an account.
You use posting notification categories to classify posting notification rules. You can use the following posting notification categories as triggering events:
● Payment Items
● Account balances
● Prenotes
You define the posting notification type on the basis of the posting notification category. You can make the following settings:
● the posting notification for a posting notification rule is to be carried out once or more than once
● the posting notification is also to take place if an item is reversed or a prenote is deleted.
● the posting notification rule is to be reactivated if an item is reversed or a prenote is deleted.
● correspondence is to be requested and printed for a posting notification
● an event-controlled bank statement is to be created for items and account balances
● a counter update is to be assigned for the posting notification rule
● no correspondence charge is to be posted for the creation of the posting notification
● the posting notification type is to be permitted as a differentiation characteristic for conditions

You make the settings for posting notification in the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Item Management ® Posting Notification in the following IMG activities:

● Assign Prenote Types to a Prenote Type Group

You can specify whether posting notifications and posting notification rules are archived or deleted physically from the database once a certain period of time has expired. You define the period of time for each bank posting area and product in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Archiving ® Archiving Objects ® Residence Time for Posting Notifications (Object PNS_ALT) and under Archiving ®Archiving Objects ® Residence Time for Posting Notification Rules (Object PNS_MD).

To create posting notification rules you need to set the Posting Notification indicator on the Posting Data tab page in the SAP Easy Access screen under Account Management (FS-AM) ® Account ® Account Master Data ®Create Account.
You can display posting notification rules from the SAP Easy Access Screen under Account Management (FS-AM) ®Account ® Turnovers, Balances and Key Figures ( Display Balances and Key Figures.
