Master data that goes from the R/3 System to the APO resource, is automatically transferred during integration, without separate transportation or specific maintenance of this data in the R/3 System being carried out. The relevant fields are listed followed by the comment "from the R/3 System".
Single resources and multi-resources are transferred from the R/3 System. All other resource types in APO are resources belonging to APO.
- Multi-resources in APO correspond to capacities in the R/3 System that can incorporate several individual capacities.
- Single resources in APO correspond to capacities that display only one individual capacity respectively.
The parameters transferred for the resources from the R/3 System to APO are in the R/3 System on the Change Work Center Capacity: Head screen. In APO they are on the Change Resources: Header Data screen on the following tab pages:
- Single Resource or Multi-Resource:
- Work center capacity
The work center capacity in the R/3 System does not have its own name since it is assigned to a work center. The resource name - generated automatically in APO - of a capacity transferred from the R/3 System comprises the following:
Example: WXY_123_4711
W = Work center (fixed element)
XY = Work center description (from the R/3 System)
123 = Capacity type (from the R/3 System)
4711 = Plant (from the R/3 System) or location (APO)
- Pooled capacity
The pooled capacity has its own name, which is transferred from the R/3 System to APO. For this reason, the resource name in APO is made up of three parts instead of the four elements mentioned above:
- Capacity name (instead of work center and work center description)
- Resource type: is entered as P = Production from the R/3 System In the R/3 System, no capacity types are different as in APO (production, transportation, warehouse, handling unit). This required entry field is filled in APO with P and cannot be changed. However, in APO, resources of another type can be created.
- Multi-resource: corresponds to the R/3 indicator It can be reserved by several operations. If this indicator is set, a resource can be reserved (parallel) of several activities
- Resource type: see the section of the same name on Single Resource or Multi-Resource
- Location: from the R/3 System
- Factory calendar: should be maintained after transferring the data in the APO system manually, since only the calendar ID and not specific Customizing settings are transferred
- Active variant: from the R/3 System, where it corresponds to the active version
- Reference resource: from the R/3 System
- Planner: from the R/3 System
- Start: from the R/3 System
- End: from the R/3 System
- Break duration: from the R/3 System
- Rate of resource utilization: from the R/3 System
- Productive time: from the R/3 System; corresponds there to the operating time
- Capacity: the single resource is identical in the R/3 System and in APO and cannot be maintained in APO. The multi-resource is transferred from the R/3 System and can be maintained in APO
- Finite planning: this indicator is copied from the R/3 System, from the Relevant to capacity scheduling field. If the Finite Planning indicator is set in APO, the resource is only planned to 100%.
