Maintaining General Data

Use

You maintain general data as part of the location master data.

Procedure

From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose SAP APO: Master Data ® Location. The Location Master Data: Initial Screen appears

On this screen, you can display, create, or change locations. You can also delete locations from here, or assign them to a different model.

Enter a location number and location type. Alternatively, you can first choose a location type and then use F4 to select one of the locations already assigned to this location type. Then choose:

Display, to view an existing location

Change, to modify an existing location

Create, to maintain a new location.

Choose Enter. The screen for the selected location appears.

Enter the relevant data in the fields.

The following fields are provided on the General tab page:

General	Use to Define...
Longitude/Latitude	the position of the location in degrees, minutes, and seconds. The sign is used to define the longitude and latitude.
Time zone	the time zone of the location (choose using F4 help)
Priority	the sequence in which location-specific objects are processed
Business event	a selection of defined operations within a business. The selected business event triggers the ATP check
ND loc. prof.	the name of the location parameter profile
Location new	whether both maintenance and opening costs are incurred when the location is selected using the Network Design procedure
Coll. partners	a partner in a cross-company process
*Location type 1007* only:**
Dispos. pl.	the plant (location) to which an MRP area is assigned
Sublocation	the subdivision of a location (storage location)
*Location type 1020* only:**
EDI-PartnerNr	the number used to identify the EDI partner

When you have entered the relevant data, choose Save.
