Interactive Backorder Processing
Use
With interactive backorder processing you can manually redistribute confirmed quantities of one or more products specifically over a quantity of selected requirements. You can call the function directly or set it as a postprocessing function of batch backorder processing.
Integration
The checking rule for backorder processing in the R/3 System (plant parameters) is transferred via the APO Core Interface (see location). You enter the checking rule for backorder processing in the R/3 System in Customizing for Production ® Material Requirements Planning ® Plant Parameters. In APO you enter the
business event in the location master in the SAP APO Menu via Master Data ® Location. The business event for backorder processing is relevant to the access via the product view or for initial access to interactive backorder processing.
Prerequisites
You entered the business event for backorder processing in the location master.
Features
The aim of interactive backorder processing is to manually assign a confirmed quantity to requirements schedule lines. Dates of schedule lines can be changed, deleted or created. Processing occurs at schedule line level. You can manually assign confirmed quantities to fixed schedule lines and requirements.
Distribution of confirmed quantities
You change the confirmed quantities per schedule line. If you select Enter, a product availability check is carried out automatically to determine the newly cumulated ATP quantity when you enter the confirmed quantity. The other basic methods are treated as "neutral results".

Since the other basic methods are treated as "neutral results", shortage situations can be generated in the product allocation situation and in the consumption situation during the forecast.
The changes that you make can be rejected again. The update is only carried out when you save the changes.
Overriding
In interactive backorder processing, it is possible with the corresponding authorization (role: ATP controller) to assign confirmed quantities, even if the cumulated ATP quantity is not sufficient. You thereby generate a negative ATP quantity and override the results of the availability check. You should only set this overriding function for the short-term removal of a bottleneck in the logistics chain. The processor with the role of ATP controller must be able to guarantee the procurement of a covering receipt.

Activities
Access into interactive backorder processing via individual access
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Global ATP ® Backorder Processing ® Interactive Backorder Processing. For access you should enter
Alternatively you can access interactive backorder processing via a pre-defined worklist (tab page Worklist) The compilation of the worklist to execute interactive backorder processing is, as with batch backorder processing, order oriented, the difference being that the selected orders are displayed first in a list when executing. You can select the orders here and branch to interactive backorder processing.
Access into interactive backorder processing via the product view
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Production Planning ® Interactive Production Planning ® Product View ® ATP (tab).

Access into interactive backorder processing via the selection list
You can branch from the selection list to interactive backorder processing. Several orders in this list can be transferred again to batch backorder processing for redistribution.
