Delta Download for Bills of Material and Routing

Use

Changes to existing Bills of Material (BOMs) or routing are not automatically transferred to the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO). You therefore have to restart the initial data transfer. A new initial data transfer, however, only represents a snapshot of the Production Process Model (PPM). All values added in SAP APO that can only be maintained in SAP APO are retained during a restarted initial data transfer.

The transfer of data changes is carried out using the report RSPPMCHG (Send Changes to Production Process Model). The report determines all production versions that have been altered and checks whether they are contained in an active integration model. If this is the case, the associated PPM will be transferred again.

You must enter a key date to be able to generate an integration model.

From PI2000.2 there are the following options for determining the key date for the BOM explosion.

All changes to BOMs and work plans that are valid at later dates are not taken into account in the BOM explosion.

If you wish to take into account the different change statuses in the SAP APO PPM, you have to create an individual production version with the corresponding validity interval for each change status in SAP R/3. As a consequence you would have corresponding PPMs in SAP APO.
