The integration between the Service Management (PM/SM) area from the SAP R/3 side and the SAP APO Production Process Model (PPM) is described in this section.

• An entry exists in the service product table T399A. A corresponding routing is maintained there

• Routing via Service Product Table T399A

• You must maintain a suitable routing for the service product (material master) for PM/SM production processes. Select Logistics ® Service Management ® Service Processing ® Environment ® Sales and Distribution ® Service Products.

• The planning number of the PPM in SAP APO comprises the following:

1. Task list type, one-character: A for PM/SM plan
2. Task list group, eight-digit
3. Task list group counter, two-digit: in SAP R/3 the leading zero is suppressed

• Routing

• The routing is used to describe a plant maintenance process and a service process. This contains operations, sub-operations, standard values, work centers, capacities, and material components. The material components are assigned from the corresponding spare parts BOM or were assigned as required to the operation

• Operation

• Operations in SAP R/3 correspond to the operations in SAP APO
• An operation is assigned to a work center
• There can be sub-operations assigned to an operation that are carried out at other work centers

• Standard Values

• Corresponds to the phase (PI)
• The standard values in SAP R/3 are defined in the work center and correspond to the activities in SAP APO
