Direct Update of Batch Backorder Processing 
Purpose
You run batch backorder processing. The results are updated immediately.
Prerequisites
You made the settings for backorder processing.
Process
You carry out batch backorder processing to redistribute previously-confirmed quantities for the order items of backorders according to a list of priorities (see Execution of
Batch Backorder Processing).
As long as the update in the connected OLTP system is not yet completed, the assigned quantities are protected in APO as
temporary quantity assignments
The changes are updated in the R/3 System.
The update is confirmed to APO.
You can delete the results in the buffer. These are only used as a log.
If you have to define unforeseen short-term sales priorities, use interactive backorder processing (see Execution of
Interactive Backorder Processing).
