Question

Answer

What prerequisites are there for the transfer of deliveries from SAP R/3?

The prerequisite is an active integration model. You have to include the sales order (including deliveries) in this integration model and transfer it to SAP APO.
Deliveries with reference to sales orders are relevant to integration.

What properties should be taken into account in the transfer?

The delivery

  • checks the availability in SAP APO if you have transferred ATP Customizing and the availability check to SAP APO using the integration model.
    Restriction:
You cannot carry out rules-based ATP for the delivery.
  • cancels the requirement that is generated by the sales order in SAP APO.
  • checks the availability in SAP R/3. For this, you do not have to transfer ATP Customizing and the availability check to SAP APO.
  • checks no availability, the requirements are defined in SAP APO and used from planning.

What happens when a delivery is created without reference to a sales order?

The creation of a delivery without reference to a sales order transfers the requirements to SAP APO. The system carries out an ATP check.

What data is determined from the SAP R/3 company master?

Data for the complete delivery and order combination is determined from the SAP R/3 company master.

How and where does order combination take place?

Order combination with SAP APO takes place in SAP R/3 using SAP R/3 logic.
If different goods issue dates were be determined for the items, you receive a warning during order combination. You can skip this warning. The earliest goods issue date for the items is automatically chosen as the goods issue date for the entire order. This is a purely SAP R/3 function.
Order combination also takes place for mixed items (availability in SAP R/3 or ATP in SAP APO).

How are partial deliveries taken into account with the ATP check?

Completion rules for the delivery in the sales order ATP check:

Partial deliveries with SAP APO take place in SAP R/3 using SAP R/3 logic.
The partial delivery indicator is taken into account during the availability check on the customer order in SAP APO.
Delivery tolerances are transferred to SAP APO along with the sales order.
The maximum partial delivery value is transferred to SAP APO when the sales order is saved and appears as the ATP proposal.
For a complete delivery, the SAP R/3 logic runs and when several delivery dates are determined the latest date is transferred to the SAP APO ATP.

How are delivery groups integrated?

Delivery groups (combination of similar sales order items in a delivery, compilation of items that belong together to one delivery date) are a purely SAP R/3 function.

What data is read from the SAP R/3 material master record for the ATP check?

For a delivery, weights, delivery priorities (from SAP APO 2.0) and over/underdelivery rules (for capable to match) are read from the SAP R/3 material master record for the ATP check.

How does the delivery split work?

A delivery split without using the component Transportation Planning/Vehicle Scheduling (TP/VS) is carried out in SAP APO according to SAP R/3 logic.

How is packing proposal integrated?

The packing proposal for delivery processing is a purely SAP R/3 function and does not affect SAP APO.

How are changes to deliveries carried out?

You carry out changes to deliveries in SAP R/3. Changes such as quantity and date changes are transferred to SAP APO and calculated with the requirements that are booked through the sales order.

What master data and Customizing data is relevant?

Master and Customizing data from SAP R/3 and SAP APO are relevant and are read by the system as needed.

How is shipment and transportation scheduling integrated?

See Shipment and Transportation Scheduling

What should be taken into consideration for the delivery availability check?

A rules-based ATP check cannot be carried out for the delivery.
