You use user interfaces to observe processes that SAP Event Management tracks. If exceptional situations occur in a process, for example, a delivery arrives late, you can react to these situations. To do so, you can use the information that SAP Event Management makes available to you. If you want to gain an overview of your processes, you can, for example, query processes with a certain status. For example, you can search for deliveries that are still open. You can also report events to SAP Event Management.

In addition to the SAP GUI, you can also define Web interface transactions that run in a Web browser. You can display a Web interface (classic) or a Web interface (Web Dynpro ABAP) in the Web browser. You configure the connection between SAP Event Management and the Web by defining Web interface transactions and user profiles in accordance with your own requirements. Depending on the user profiles that you have defined and the fields that you have assigned to these profiles, SAP Event Management makes a corresponding Web layout available.

Recommendation Recommendation

We recommend that you use the Web interface (Web Dynpro ABAP). We continue to support the Web interface (classic), but we will not develop it any further.

End of the recommendation.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for SAP Event Management under   Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface   Web Interface  , you have started the activity Configure Fields for User Profiles once.
