Use
SAP Business Partner enables you to create and maintain business partners centrally. This is particularly useful if a business partner is important to an enterprise in different roles, such as a contract partner and an interested party.
The conception of the SAP Business Partner aims to make use of advantages such as data integrity, or the lack of redundancy, and to place the emphasis on customer support and the acquisition of new customers.
Features
A business partner can be created in different business partner roles, to which you can add more roles during the business relationship. The data does not have to be re-entered each time, meaning that redundancy and possible inconsistencies are avoided.
The use of the SAP Business Partner enables you to collate partner data that may be spread about in more than one system in an enterprise. This means that the potential for new contracts with the same customer link can be more easily recognized.
The data entry screen contains the data relevant to the SAP Business Partner and the data relevant to application in a seamlessly integrated form.
A seamless integration of customer-specific data is possible without modification (so applies to all releases), since interfaces have been specified for this. For more information on the specified interfaces, see Business Data Toolset (BDT).
