Features

Master data for Incentive and Commission Management comprises the following three areas:

·         Contract
·         SAP Business Partner
·         Organizational Management

Contract

Standard Commission Contract

In the commission system a distinction is made between standard commission contracts, which serve as a reference, and the commission contracts, which build on these and which are assigned to the individual business partners (Commission Contract Partner ).

The different variations of standard commission contract (commission contract types ) typically represent the different groups of commission recipients (such as company sales employees, part-time employees, full-time employees, specialists, managers, broker category A, broker category B, and so on).

The standard commission contract is a contract template in which global enterprise agreements for all business partners are documented on a legally binding basis. A commission contract is derived from a standard commission contract as a result of negotiations between the sold-to party and commission recipient. This concept lets you define company-wide standards that have to be adhered to. This facilitates the work of the commission clerk as he or she only has to concentrate on the individual contract components.

Commission Contract

The commission contract (individual contract) is represented in the commission management menu using a tab index where the agreements are displayed on tab pages.

Structure of Commission Contract

The structure of the commission contract is shown in the commission management menu using a tab index where the agreements are displayed on tab pages.

This means that all contract-related data and agreements can be clearly presented on their own tab page. You can make customer-specific additions to the commission contract or contract bundle. To do this, you use the SAP tool Business Data Toolset (BDT).

You can adjust the tab pages of the commission contract to suit your personal requirements, and you can decide which type of agreement you want to use. Using the tabs, you can sort certain agreements however you wish (for example according to line of business).

Agreements

Each commission contract can contain any number of agreements. There are three types of agreement:

Global (for example, valuation of sales performance)

Standardized (for example, performance-related remuneration)

Individual (for example, payment agreements)

SAP Business Partner

SAP Business Partner enables you to create and maintain business partners centrally. This is particularly useful if a business partner is important to an enterprise in different roles, such as a contract partner and an interested party.

Organizational Management

Incentive and Commission Management uses Organizational Management to represent a company’s organizational structure and to display the hierarchy of relationships and dependencies. The organizational structure is used in ICM for the following:

Workplace for commission clerks

·         Authorization checks for commission clerks

·         Determining indirect participants

·         Drilldown reporting

Period and Version Management

You can change the data for contracts, SAP business partner and organizational management at any point in the past or future using the Period and Version Management.

Authorization for making changes is, of course, regulated by the relevant authorization concept within the SAP system. When making changes, you can store different versions of the contracts/agreements and assign these to corresponding periods of validity. In display mode, the user can navigate easily between the different versions using pushbuttons.

Archiving in the Commission System

A commission contract can be archived when no further liability entitlements exist.

A business partner/commission contract partner can be archived when no further effectively valid commission contracts exist.
