You can create a weighing activity for a vehicle via the yard monitor.

Display the Vehicle objects. |

From the ALV, select the row corresponding to the vehicle that you wish to weigh.

From the hierarchy tree, select the object corresponding to the vehicle that you wish to weigh. |

From the ALV tool bar, choose and then Create weighing activity from the pop-up menu. The Create Weighing Activity dialog box appears. |
Right-click the icon to the left of the object and choose Create weighing activity from the pop-up menu. The Create Weighing Activity dialog box appears. |

In the Dest.Location field, enter the name of the location in which you will weigh the vehicle. |

If you are weighing the vehicle immediately, do the following: a. In the Vehicle Weight field, enter the weight expressed in the given unit of measure. b. Leave Auto-confirmation selected. c. Choose to verify the data. d. Choose Enter. The weighing activity is created with status of 4 Completed. The entered weight appear in the Vehicle Weight field of the activity’s ALV record (if you have elected to display this field in the ALV). |

If the vehicle is to be weighed later by a worker, do the following: ... a. Leave the Vehicle Weight field blank. b. De-select Auto-confirmation. c. If you want weighing instructions to be printed: i. Select Print Instructions. ii. In the Printer field, enter the name of the printer from which the instructions are to be printed. iii. In the NrOfCopies field, enter the number of copies to be printed. If you leave this field blank, the system prints the default number of copies, as determined in Customizing for Logistics Execution ® Yard Management ® General Settings ® Define Yard Printers. d. Choose to verify the data. e. Choose Enter. The weighing activity is created with status of 1 Planned. |
If the vehicle is to be weighed at another location, a movement activity must be created and executed before the vehicle can be weighed.
