From the ALV, select one or more rows corresponding to the vehicles for which you want to create scheduling activities.

From the hierarchy tree, select one or more objects corresponding to the vehicles for which you want to create scheduling activities.

3.

From the ALV tool bar, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and then Create scheduling activity from the pop-up menu.

The Create Scheduling Activity dialog box appears.

Right-click the icon to the left of the object representing the vehicle for which you want to create a scheduling activity and choose Create scheduling activity from the pop-up menu.

If you have selected more than one object, right-click the icon to the left of any of the objects.

The Create Scheduling Activity dialog box appears.

4.

You can enter values in one or more of the following fields, in order to limit the system’s scheduling:

·        Time From: The beginning time of the time frame for which the system is to search for available locations

·        Time To: The end time of the time frame for which the system is to search for available locations

·        Loc. Class: The location class from which the system is to find one or more available locations

·        Location: The location for which the system is to find the best available time

7.

Choose Enter.

The systems scheduling mechanism   attempts to create scheduling activities, with statuses of Planned, for each of the vehicles.

If you selected more than one vehicle, and scheduling based on the input criteria is not possible for any of them, the query message Vehicle [license/container ID] could not be scheduled. An alert will be created. Continue? appears.

·        If you choose Yes, the system continues in its attempt to schedule locations for the remaining vehicles. If scheduling fails for any of the vehicles, scheduling will stop and the query message will again be displayed.

·        If you choose Yes to All, the system attempts to schedule locations for all of the remaining vehicles, even if scheduling fails for any of them, and no query message appears.

·        If you choose Cancel, the scheduling activities are not created for any of the vehicles.

If you selected one vehicle and scheduling fails for it, an error message is displayed and an alert is created.

Note

You can view the created scheduling activities via the yard scheduling chart. For more information, see Yard Scheduling Chart.
