Evaluating Formula Data
This procedure describes in general how you evaluate formula data with different output variants. For more information on how to compare formula data in Microsoft Excel, see Comparing Formula Data Using Microsoft Excel.
You have already assigned values to the output parameters that you need more often (see Editing Output Variants) if required. For further prerequisites, see Evaluation and Output of Formula Data.
...
1. Load the formulas that you want to evaluate. Carry out one of the following procedures:
¡ Searching for Formulas Manually
2. Select the formulas in the hit list that you want to evaluate.
3. Carry out one of the following steps:
¡
If you have
already activated the output variant you want, choose
with the
quick info Output.
The data that you want is output.
¡ If you have not activated an output variant or have activated a different one to the one you wanted, choose Utilities ® Change Output Variant.
The group overview of the output variants appears.
4. Carry out one of the following steps:
¡ If you do not want to change the output parameters in the output variant you chose before the data is output, proceed as follows:
i. Choose this output variant by double-clicking it.
The formula hit list screen reappears.
ii.
Choose
with the quick info Output.
¡ If you want to change the output parameters in the output variant you chose before the data is output, proceed as follows:
...
i.
Choose
or
next to
the output variant.
ii.
Enter the
parameters you want and choose
Output.

For examples of how you can set up the output using these output parameters, see Row Keys and Column Keys.
If you want to use the environment parameters that you changed for several outputs, you have to save them as a layout and copy the output variant if necessary, and save the changed environment parameters in this copy (see Editing Output Variants).
If you chose the output variant Formula Comparison with Excel or a copy of it, and this contains the standard layout 1DEFAULT, you first have to save the layout under a different key so that you can change the output parameters. Proceed as described in Comparing Formula Data Using Microsoft Excel.
The output is carried out and the formula data is displayed according to the specifications of the output variant.
If the data is still not displayed as you wish, you can change it as follows:
...
1.
Choose
Change Parameters.
2.
Change the
parameters and choose
Output.
If you executed the standard output variant Formula Comparison with Excel or a copy of this output variant, you can also change the display using Microsoft Excel functions.
