Creating Where-Used Lists for Authorization Objects (RSUSR060) 

Use

You can use this report to create where-used lists for profiles, authorization objects, authorizations, and authorization values.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start the user information system (transaction SUIM).

       2.      Expand the Where-Used List node.

       3.      Choose the Execute option next to For Authorization Object.

       4.      Enter the authorization object and choose Execute.

The Authorization Object Where-Used List dialog box appears.

       5.      Specify the search area. Use in:

¡        Authorizations

¡        Profiles

¡        User Master Records

¡        Programs

The result list appears.

       6.      There are additional functions available to you on the result list, depending on the search area.

Result

The result list displays the where-used list for the authorization object in the specified search area.

Functions in the Result List for the Authorizations Search Area

Function	Comment
Display Details	Display details for the authorization object.
Where-used list	Another dialog window appears, in which you can select either the use in profiles or the use in user master records.
Change Documents	List of changed documents for an authorization in the result list

Functions in the Result List for the Profiles  Search Area

Function	Comment
Display Details	Display details for the profile.
Where-used list	Where-used list for a profile selected in the result list, that is contained in the authorization object for which you originally performed the search in the where-used list. The same selection options are available again on the Profile Where-Used List dialog box (profiles, user master records, or roles)
Change Documents	List of change documents for a profile

Functions in the Result List for the User Masters Search Area

Function	Comment
Display Details	Displays all profiles for the selected user
List with Roles	List of all users with the roles assigned to them
List with Profiles	List of all users with all profiles assigned to this user
Change Documents	List of change documents for a user

Programs Search Area

If you specify the search area Programs, the system displays another dialog window, Authorization Object Where-Used List, on which you can further restrict the search area using the following options:

¡        Use in programs

¡        Use in classes

¡        Use in BSP applications

¡        Use in transactions

¡        Use in package interfaces

 

Function	Comment
Where-used list	Where-used list for an entry selected in the result list (program, class, and so on), of the object that is contained in the authorization object for which you originally performed the search in the where-used list. The same selection options are available again on the Where-Used List… dialog box.
Complete List/Basic List	Additional properties of the entries are displayed in the complete list.
