Document List

Use

The document list displays a pool of document info records, which corresponds to particular user-defined search criteria. The system outputs the document list after the search functions for the document info records have been carried out (see also: Search Functions).

Integration

You can load document info records from the document list, or transfer them to the SAP view by using SAP View.

Features

You can carry out the following functions in the document list in the CAD desktop:

If you choose...	Then...
Change Doc Status	The system offers the status stored in the status network, and you can change the status.
Edit Original	The SAP system goes to the CAD system, and you can edit the original for the document info record in the CAD system.
Display Original	The SAP system goes to the CAD system, and you can display the original for the document info record in the CAD system.
Display Last Version	You can display the last version of the selected document info record.
Display Last Released Version	You can display the last released version of the selected document info record.
Insert Original	You can insert the selected original in the currently loaded assembly.
Load Original	You can load the selected original (without opening a window; only possible in Pro/Engineer).
Reset Check-In	You can reset the check-out for processing, the document info record last checked into the secure storage area becomes valid again (lock closed, without check-in).
Find	Lets you find specific documents in the list.
Choose layout	You can select a display layout for your document list.
SAP View	You can go to the SAP view; the selected document becomes the new header document.

Prerequisites

You have found document info records with the search function in document management (button Find).

Activities

To access the document list, choose the tab page title Document List from another view in the CAD desktop.

Select the desired document info record, and carry out the above functions.

Example

You have transferred the document info records into the document list via the search function. You want to display the last version of a document info record for an assembly. The document info record has status AA, and is checked-in in the secure storage area.

If you select the document info record, and choose Original ® Display Last Version, the check-out assistant outputs the following messages, or offers the following actions:

Checked-in parts, which have yet to be checked out, are copied.
Checked-in parts, which have already been checked out, can be checked out again, or retained. The system proposes "No Action", and retains the parts.
Checked-out parts contain the information "File Is Already Being Processed". Here you do not need to choose any further steps.

Next choose Execute. The SAP system goes to the CAD system, where the selected parts are displayed.
