Use

The segment assignment role defines the type of relationship between commission contracts and segment types. To be able to assign the segments to commission contracts, you need to define suitable segment assignment roles.

Prerequisites

You need to define the trigger for the additional commission case and the segment types in Customizing first.

Procedure

  1. In Customizing, choose Commissions -> Basic/Master Data -> Segment Assignment -> Maintain Segment Assignment Role for Segment Assignment..
  2. Enter an alphanumeric key in the customer namespace under assignment role.
  3. In the Commission Case Cause and Segment Type fields, enter combinations of segment type and cause of the additional commission case, but only those that refer to the same (representative) business object types.
  4. Set the Segment Protection indicator to protect the segment from rebundling.
  5. Choose Save.

Result

You can now use the segment assignment role for segment assignment.
