Functions of the Detail Area: Master Cost Center 

Definition

The mapping of the assignment between a force element and a master cost center.

Use

It must be possible to assign accounts and carry out budgeting for a force element.

This is achieved by creating a relationship between an organizational unit and a cost center.

The cost center is used for domestic budgeting and account assignment (domestic organization).

The following information is passed down:

·        Account assignment features are passed down to the subordinate organizational units and positions, if they were not maintained there.

·        If account assignment features are maintained for a superior organizational unit, these are overridden by the entries on the Account Assignment tab page of a subordinate organizational unit.

Structure

·        Master Cost Center

You can assign a master cost center to a force element.

A master cost center is assigned to each domestic force element.

To create, change, or display cost centers, choose Environment ® Cost Center ® Create or ® Change or ® Display.

To return to the Structures Workbench, choose  Back (F3).

Integration

Data for the master cost center is passed down to subordinate structures, if data was not directly assigned to these structures.

The data for the master cost center is copied to the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) in Personnel Administration.

The fields on this tab page are integrated with the infotype 1001 (Relationships) in expert mode of Organizational Management.
