Functions of the Detail Area: Employee
Group/Subgroup (Position) 
An infotype that can be used to assign an employee group and an employee subgroup to a position.
The Employee Group/Subgroup infotype (1013) is optional and is created for positions only.
If you create this infotype, you can check the employee and position data in the Personnel Administration and Organizational Management components.
A prerequisite for this check is that the employee groups/subgroups exist in both components.
The system checks whether:
· Both the employee who holds a position and the position itself are assigned to the same employee group and the same employee subgroup.
· The working time that is assigned to positions and employee groups/subgroups in the Organizational Management component matches the working time that was assigned to the owner of the position in the Personnel Administration component. If the working times do not match, the system issues a warning message, and you can continue your activities in the system.
Even if this integration is not active, this infotype is important because the system checks the employee groups/subgroups when working times are processed.
If Personnel Administration is used, the employee groups/subgroups are user defined.

Enter an employee group and employee subgroup in the relevant fields, and assign a validity period.
The EE Group/Subgroup tab page is integrated with the Employee Group/Subgroup infotype (1013).
