Assigning Partners to Lifting Partner Groups 

Use

Use this transaction to assign partners to a lifting partner group which will allow the system to divide partners’ shares according to the specified crude oil entitlement percentage (COEP).

Initially, the system uses the lifting partner group to conduct a split by partner, and then uses the data for all further calculations and the Storage Entitlement Report.

Prerequisites

·         The lifting partner exists as a customer master data record.

·         The lifting partner group to which you will link partners to is set up.  To set up a lifting partner group, use the Creating Lifting Partner Groups transaction (Accounting ® Production Sharing Accounting ® Master Data ® PSA Lifting Partner Groups). 

Procedure

1.       On the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Accounting ® Production Sharing Accounting ® Assignments ® Lifting Partner Group to Partner Assignment.

The PSA Lifting Partner Group to Partner Assignment: Overview screen appears.

2.       Choose New entries.

The New Entries: Overview of Added Entries screen appears.

3.       Complete the following fields.

·         In the Lifting Partner Group field, enter the lifting partner group name. 

You set up lifting partner group names in the Creating Lifting Partner Groups transaction.

·         In the Partner field, enter the ID of the partner to be assigned to the lifting group. 

A partner can be assigned to only one lifting partner group. 

If reporting is done quarterly and a partner belongs to two groups in the same quarter, the system uses only the most recent lifting partner group assignment.

·         In the Year from and Period from fields, enter the year and the period, respectively, in which the assignment of the partner to the lifting partner group becomes effective.

4.       Save your entries.
