Creating an Architectural Object
In the SAP menu, choose:
Accounting
® Flexible Real Estate
Management
® RE Navigator
® Architectural Object
®
.
Specify the architectural object type (such as a building), a number for your architectural object and an ID (such as PHL/SSC/B3.01).
General Data
If the
object to be created is not the top level of the hierarchy, you have to link
it to the next highest object in the hierarchy by choosing
with
quick info text Assign Higher-Level Object.
Keep in mind that the ID of the
architectural object has to be unique in all hierarchies. Otherwise,
the system cannot find the object independently of the hierarchy
when you use Direct object selection.
The
address can be copied from the superior object by choosing
with
quick info text Inherit Address.
Number Assignment
For more information on number assignment for architectural objects, refer to topic.
Assignments
Here you can define attributes like location, transportation connections and main usage type.
Property/Building
On the Building and Property tabs, you define characteristics that are to be copied to the usage view when you link the objects (such as development plan, location, property quality, actual usage and planned usage, and so on)
Dates
Here you can store dates relevant to, for example, the construction year or the construction plans. This data is for information only.
Measurements
See Measurements.
In
display mode, you can call up validity periods by choosing
with the quick info text Current Time
Slot and
with the quick info text Complete
Period.
For further information on time-dependent entries, see Management of Time Slots .
Plant Maintenance
You make settings in Customizing to determine whether a functional location is automatically created in Plant Maintenance when you create an architectural object. To do this, choose:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide ® Flexible Real Estate Management (Enterprise Extension) ® Master Data ® Architectural View ® Architectural Object Type ® PM Integration: Settings per Architectural Object Type
When processing an architectural object, you can create (and delete) functional locations manually in addition to the automatically generated one.
Usage Objects
The objects that appear in this table are the usage objects that you linked to the architectural structure.
However you can also create a corresponding
usage object for an architectural object you have already created by choosing
with quick info text Usage Object in
display and change mode.
Resubmission
For more information on the general function for resubmission, refer to this documentation.
