Master Data 

Purpose

This component forms the basis for all object-related information for representing real estate objects. Master data is divided into two views in which you can process real estate objects in different ways:

       1.      Usage view: business and accounting view with fixed master data objects:

·        Business entity

·        Property

·        Building

·        Rental object:

¡        Pooled space

¡        Rental space

¡        Rental unit

 Using the usage view is mandatory.

       2.      Architectural view: technical view with master data based on architectural object types that you can define yourself in Customizing.

Examples

·        Locality

·        Property

·        Building complex

·        Building

·        Floor

·        Part of building

·        Space (such as parking space, storage space, office space)

·        Room of a space

·        ...

 Using the architectural view is optional.

Implementation Considerations

You make settings for the master data of both of these views in Customizing. Choose:

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide ® Flexible Real Estate Management (Enterprise Extension) ® Master Data ® Usage View or Architectural View

You make global settings for master data of the usage view and architectural view in Customizing (Measurements). Choose:

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide ® Flexible Real Estate Management (Enterprise Extension) ® Master Data ® Basic Settings ® Measurements

 

This component is the basis for using all other functions of the Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) component.
