Classifying a Material with a Standard
Procedure
You may want to change a material that is already classified, in a class without characteristics, for example, by classifying the material in a different class.
You can do this manually in the system at any time. For materials that you want to classify as standard materials, you can also get the system to classify the material.
Procedure
To classify a material as a standard material in a DIN class, proceed as follows:
Material |
Number of the material you want to classify |
Standards data no. |
Number under which you stored the DIN standard number in the R/3 System |
You see a list of characteristic records. Choose Choose to select a record.
In the background, the material is classified in the class to which you assigned the characteristic record. The values from the characteristic record you selected are automatically assigned to the characteristics of the class. If the material is already classified, this leads to multiple classification.
