Procedure documentation Terminal Interface to Production Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Use this transaction to post production data by terminal across multiple company codes.

This transaction determines the company code and lifted volume split values based on the master data and crude oil entitlement percentage assignments of the terminal and the product to various partners (and by association to the partners, production sharing contracts).

This transaction also allows you to display the article price calculation for a partner company code and production sharing contract (PSC) combination.

Further, this transaction summarizes lifting data by partner, PSC, and product.

This transaction updates the Entering Actual Volumes and Prices transaction, which reflects monthly data, with transactional data that was entered in the Maintaining Pricing, Lifting, Production, and Adjustments transactions, which reflect daily data.

For an overview of the functions of the Terminal Interface to Production, see below.

Procedure

1.       On the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Accounting ® Production Sharing Accounting ® Processing ® Daily Production Data Entry ® Data Entry Interface ® Terminal Interface to Production.

The PSA Terminal Interface Production screen appears.

2.       Enter selection criteria as required.

3.       Do one of the following:

·         To use production data as the source data for volume posting, select Production.

·         To use lifting data as the source data for volume posting, choose Lifting.

4.       Do one of the following:

·         If you are ready to overwrite the monthly data from the Enter Actual Volumes and Prices transaction with transactional data, select Overwrite.

·         If you would like processing to be executed as a test, leave the Test run indicator selected.

5.       To display article price calculation details for a PSC, choose the Display Only indicator.  Then complete the Company Code and PSC Name fields.

Note

To display article price calculation details, leave the Test run indicator set.

6.       Choose Execute.

The PSA Terminal Interface Production screen (2) appears with the report displayed.

7.       Review the following sections of the Terminal Interface Production report as required.

·         Record Production by Product and PSC for All Oil Products

·         Record Actual Lifting by Terminal for All Oil Products

(Includes total volume)

·         Approved Crude Oil Entitlement Percentage by Partner

·         Approved Crude Oil Entitlement Percentage by Lifting Partner Group

·         Adjusted Production by Product and PSC for All Oil Products

·         Record Monthly Sales Split by Product for All Oil Products

·         Record Lifting per PSC

(The system reconciles the result of this section with the total from the Record Actual Lifting by Terminal for All Oil Products section.)

·         Summary of Lifting Split by Lifting Partner Group

·         Summary of Lifting Split by PSC

·         Record Lifting per PSC per Partner

(The system reduces rounding differences in this section by summarizing all of the lifting entries by period, PSC, product & lifting partner group. Then the system summarizes by quarter instead of splitting for each lifting entry.)

·         Summary of Lifting per PSC per Partner

·         Record Arms Length Monthly & Quarterly Average

(Includes quarterly total and volume earnings.)

·         Record Adjusted Non-Arms Length Sales Price

(Includes details about adjusted price as well as the original sales price and quarterly total and volume earnings.)

·         Application of Weighted Average Price by PSC & Product

Note

If there is pricing data available for an arms-length transaction as well as pricing data from a Weighted Average Price transaction manually entered by a user, the system will use the pricing data from the arms-length transaction.

·         Adjusted Non-Arms Length Sales Price

·         Non-Arms Length Lifting-Process Volume

·         Record Revised Quarterly Weighted Average Price (Article Price)

·         Record Revised Quarterly Weighted Average Price (Article Price) for Combined Product

·         Record Production by Product and PSC for all Oil Products

Overview of Interface Functions

The Interface calculates the weighted quarterly average price, and it updates records in the table T8PSA_INPUT with the calculated price. The calculation differs for oil and gas.

The following is an overview of the steps involved in the calculation for either of the products.

Master Data

·         Retrieves PSA objects such as production sharing contracts (PSCs), products, and ventures as required using selection criteria that the user enters

·         Retrieves volume data for selected PSCs by volume type

·         Checks that PSCs are assigned to the terminals that the user enters as selection criteria.

Production Data

·         Calculates total production, as well as total production per PSC by adding the volumes of different volume types

·         Displays production for both oil and gas

·         Displays adjusted production data grouped by oil and gas

Splits

·         Based on the oil indicator, splits all PSCs into either an oil table or a gas table

·         Calculates monthly sale split for oil products, and lifting split by terminal

·         Displays monthly sales split for oil products

·         Displaysgovernment/contractor split for non-oil products

·         For gas products, calculates government and contractor share

·         Displays COEP for oil products

Lifting Data

·         Retrieves lifting data for selected PSCs

·         Calculates average lifting per PSC per quarter for non-arms length oil products

·         Displays actual lifting per terminal grouped by oil arms, non-arms length, gas arms, and gas non-arms length

·         Displays adjusted lifting per PSC grouped by oil and gas products

Prices

·         Calculates quarterly weighted average price

·         For gas products, calculates quarter average price

·         Displaysquarterly and average price for arms-length oil products

·         Displays adjusted average price for non-arms length oil products

·         Displays adjusted non-arms length sales price

·         Displays weighted average sales price for oil and gas products
