You define the codes in Customizing for Financial Accounting, under Financial Accounting Global Settings ® Tax on Sales/Purchases ® Basic Settings ® Fiscal Regional Codes ® Define Fiscal Regional Codes for Italy/Spain.

Country Version Colombia comes with sample fiscal regional codes for various municipalities, for example, Medillín and Envigado.

Assign the fiscal regional code to withholding tax codes that you use for taxes levied by individual municipalities, for example, industry and commerce tax and stamp tax.

Whenever you enter a document that includes a withholding tax item, the system automatically assigns the item a withholding tax code, as normal. Since each tax code is associated with a fiscal regional code, the withholding tax item is also automatically classified.

When you come to prepare withholding tax certificates, the system fills them out according to the recipient types that the withholding tax items are classified with.
