The time evaluation report RPTIME00 is generally started as a background job once daily (usually overnight). Time evaluation evaluates the data of all employees whose time data was recorded completely for the previous day. This guarantees up-to-date results.
If you change employees’ data retroactively for a period that has already been evaluated, the changes are automatically taken into account the next time the report is run after the changes. This ensures reliable and complete results.
You generally run time evaluation for large groups of employees. It is usual to evaluate all employees in a company in one time evaluation run. If you are evaluating a large number of employees, you should schedule several parallel runs to save time. This also depends to a large extent on the capacity of your servers.
It is also possible to run the report manually for individual employees or employee groups, or for specific evaluation periods. This is particularly useful for test purposes or for evaluations of future periods. You may want to evaluate future periods in the following situations:
If you want to forecast employees’ productive times and overtime
If you want to forecast an employee’s absence entitlements where absence quotas are accrued automatically by time evaluation
If you want to valuate planned times in Shift Planning, for example, in relation to the anticipated level of overtime
If you run time evaluation manually, you can output the time evaluation results in a customizable log either on the screen or a printout.
