Purpose

Numerous people in a company are interested in information and reports for time and labor data:

Example

An employee wants to put in a leave request, and first wants to find out how much remaining leave he or she has.
A production supervisor wants to find out which employees are not at work.
A head of department wants to find out about the illness status within the department.
A personnel controller wants to determine the absence ratio for the whole company.

The Time Management Information System provides views on the database and different display media for all these users. The business content it provides offers you enhanced options for accessing Time Management data when you run evaluations using SAP Query and SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW).

Integration

If you have implemented SAP BW, you can use data from Time Management in SAP BW.

Features

Three different systems are available, each of which enables a different view of the dataset and is tailored to users’ requirements:

SAP R/3: This system provides standard reports for time and labor analysts, time administrators, and time supervisors. Users select the report variants that have been configured for them. Time and labor analysts can also use SAP Query to create their own reports.

mySAP Workplace: This user interface suits all users who want real-time up-to-date time management reports. The data is laid out to focus on the key information.

MiniApps, employee self-service applications, and WAP applications for cell phones provide users with the data they need every day. Employees can use them to find out when they are scheduled to work and to check their time accounts, and time administrators and time supervisors can run reports on the current absence times, attendance checks, and so on.

SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW): Time and labor analysts use SAP BW to create their own reports or to use the standard BW queries. SAP BW is provided with specially prepared and summarized key figures from the SAP R/3 System to analyze employee working times, personnel costs, and productivity.

Time management data is stored in various sources. The concept of "simulated infotypes", "reporting time types," and "reporting quota types" enables you to output data from infotypes and cluster tables together in one source.
