When entering data, note the following rules:
Baseline date
You can also specify that no default value is entered in the line item. By doing this, you specify that you always want to enter the baseline date manually.
Terms of payment key
If you have entered a terms of payment key in the customer or vendor master record, this key is defaulted in the document with the accompanying definitions. If you overwrite the field contents with another key, the system uses the specified definition to calculate the data, and then enters this data in the line item.
Terms of payment
When entering and changing terms of payment, you must always enter day specifications in ascending order and percentage rates in descending order. Otherwise, a logical error occurs in the definition of the terms of payment, and the system issues an error message.
You have agreed the following terms of payment with your vendor:
Days/Per. 8 3.000/ 14 2.000 / 30
You always enter terms of payment from left to right without gaps. Otherwise, the system issues an error message.
You enter the terms of payment
Correct: Days/Per. 14 3.000/ 60 /
Incorrect: Days/Per. 14 3.000/ / 60
Always enter a period after which payment is due without a deduction. If you do not do this, term 1 for the cash discount applies. This means that the payment program, for example, tries to pay as soon as possible, but still deducts the cash discount amount after 15 days.
Days/Per. 14 3.000/ /
