Entering Terms of Payment

Use

You can enter data in the fields Baseline dte, Paymnt terms, and Days/percent as follows:

You can store the rules according to which terms of payment are calculated in the customer or vendor master record. When you enter a document, the system enters a default value in the above-mentioned fields automatically.
Default values do not appear when you enter credit memos (credit postings to customers, debit postings to vendors) and payments. The posting key determines which procedures are treated as payments.

You can copy the terms of payment from another invoice. To do this, you enter the number of this invoice in the Invoice reference field and, if the reference invoice contains several line items, you must specify the line item. This procedure ensures that line items belonging together, such as invoices and invoice-related credit memos, are paid together.

You can enter data in the fields manually if the account does not contain any default values (such as with one-time accounts or if you want to change the default values. See also Rules for Field Entries and Terms of Payment: System Checks.
